Interview by Makeup Artist/Beauty Expert Khadine –

1. What is your beauty routine when you get ready for your typical day? Also, is there a difference in your beauty preparation when you get ready for an acting audition as compared to a model casting?

My beauty routine consists of a lot of face creams ! I am a huge fan of La Mer, their products consistently keep my face fresh and pimple free. I love using the  “lifting contour serum” to start on my face, followed by their eye concentrate, and then their moisturizing soft face cream. When my skin has a rough day with makeup I use La Mer concentrate on it to keep it happy!  For modeling auditions I keep my makeup to a minimum, just tinted moisturizer by Nars. For acting auditions I do the makeup in character. It’s true to “dress” for the part you want in acting!!

2. How do you maintain your beautiful, golden camera ready complexion all year round?

I learned at a young age to always use good creams! So I never miss a day of moisturizing and cleaning it! I also like to get a facial every few months as routine maintenance. A must is sun screen and avoiding sun bathing to keep my skin healthy.  Skin is so important to me because you can’t turn back the clock on it so I am always trying to keep it young and soft!

3. We would like to know your summer secrets, which little must have products make your summer days absolutely sunny and happy.

I LOVE Oribe Beach waves spray! It’s my secret weapon to making the most out of my summer and being able to swim and not worry about your hair getting wet. Because once you wash your hair and spray this product in, it’s beach wave central- no blowout needed!

4. Can you tell us more about your upcoming projects? In-Stereo-Movie-Posters

I just finished filming a comedy in Canada called, “Frat Pack.” I can’t stop laughing whenever I read the script and I am really excited to be a part of such a fun project. I also have other movie roles lined up for the end of the summer and fall which is very exciting for me!

5. Do you have a signature scent? How would you say it relates to your personality?

I funnily enough don’t wear perfume often. I do own, Tom Ford “Fleur de Chine” which I sometimes spray on before an audition to make me feel my best! It smells fresh! I think it relates to my personality because it’s upbeat- like me!

6. Which is your favorite feature to accentuate when doing your make up?

I am a sucker for a bold lip and contoured cheeks!

Screen Shot 2015-06-30 at 10.44.28 AM7. What is the most effective way you’ve found to take your make up off? Have you ever fallen asleep with your make up on? What was your reaction?

Neutrogena has some great products, one of which is their makeup remover wipes and another is their “oil-free acne wash” face scrub with some beads in it. When I wear makeup my number one rule is to get ALL of it off at the end of the night to avoid any sort of breakout.  There have been times when I’ve fallen asleep with it on and I wake up with regret and pimples ! Haha!
I try to avoid falling asleep with it at all costs (even when exhausted), that’s why it’s a great idea to have makeup wipes on hand for  a cleaning.

8. What are your favorite skin care products? Do you have any special PWRC_Eye_Americas_Launchroutines?

I am a big fan of Kiehl’s products. Especially their “powerful wrinkle reducing eye cream.” I genuinely see a difference to the skin under my eyes.  I also love the “reparative body lotion” by La Mer.

9. I know with traveling a lot it gets a little tricky to carry around all your favorite must haves. What are those few special ‘can’t live without’ products that are coming with you every time?

My La Mer Face cream and La Mer concentrate– it keeps my skin shining wherever I am. I always bring dry shampoo, usually the Dry Bar brand. Also sun screen is a must have wherever I am!

10. Last but not least, we would love to learn a little insight into your beauty diet routine. What are your personal thoughts and experiences with juicing and supplements for skin, hair, nails, etc?

Everything in moderation!!! I am the type of person who really needs her stomach filled to stay happy and healthy so juices don’t always cut it for me. When I am dieting I cut out alcohol and the fatty foods I love to indulge in. I stick to sashimi or simple grilled chicken.  I also implement portion control.
As for my hair, I try to deep condition it whenever possible because it gets a lot of wear and tear from work. I also get these amazing hair treatments at Phyto Universe in New York which really restores my hair back to good shape.
I always try to keep a light color nail polish on to minimize damage since my nails are also constantly being done for work.

I break out from La Mer. I use AmorePacific Rejuvenating Creme now.
Read more about La Mer here:

“Other gimmicky ingredients La Mer products contain are fish cartilage, algae (explained in the Creme De La Mer review), and the rarefied blue algae, which La Mer claims can “biologically lift” skin due to its nutrient-dense nature. While all of these may have some water-binding properties, the fiction that any of them could have an impact on wrinkles is not substantiated in any published scientific study.”
